Journal “Izvestia of Samara Scientific Center of the Russian Academy of Sciences” (“Izvestia RAS SamSC”) has been published since 1999. Since 2009, six major journals published yearly have been printed in parts with the circulation of 200 copies.

“Izvestia of RAS SamSC” has been put on the list of leading peer-reviewed scientific journals which publish major scientific results of dissertations for the degree of candidate or doctor of science.

VAK (Higher Attestation Commission) of the Russian Federation recommends “Izvestia of RAS SamSC” for publications in the following areas (specializations):

03.02.00 – general biology;
05.02.00 – mechanical engineering, machine science;
05.07.00 – aviation and space-rocket technology;
05.13.00 – informatics, computer science and control.

Since March 26, 2019, the journal has been included in the list of the Higher Attestation Commission in the following specialties:

05.02.22 - Organization of production (by industry) (technical sciences);
05.02.23 - Standardization and product quality management (technical sciences);
05.13.12 - Design automation systems (by industry) (technical sciences);
05.13.17 - Theoretical foundations of informatics (technical sciences);
05.13.17 - Theoretical foundations of informatics (physical and mathematical sciences).

From February 1, 2022, the journal is included in the list of the Higher Attestation Commission in the following specialties:

How to subscribe to the journal

The journal “Izvestia of RAS SamSC” is enlisted in the catalogue of "Rospechat” subscription agency.

The subscription index is 36622 in "Journals of Russia" section of the catalogue under heading 12 “Publications of the Academies of Sciences”.

Subscription can be made at any post office either for six months (3 issues) or for the whole year (6 issues).

The journal has been resisted by the Federal Service for Supervision in the sphere of telecom, information technologies and mass communications (ROSCOMNADZOR), Certificate of mass media registration is Printed Periodical № ФС77-61347.

How to get your academic paper published

Papers to be published in the journal have to meet strict VAK requirements for academic publications.

Papers are published for a fee of 650 roubles for one dummy page in the main issue and 850 roubles for one dummy page in its additional part.

Due to the fact that free publication of postgraduate students’ papers hasn’t been stipulated in the new criteria for entering the list of leading academic periodicals, full-time postgraduates have to pay for their papers. In case two papers of the same full-time postgraduate are to be published in one issue, the second one can be published free of charge (subject to the provision of relevant reference).

Paper requirements are the same for issues in all areas.

No more than two manuscripts by the same author (both in authorship and co-authorship) are allowed to be published in the same journal issue.

For the manuscript to be accepted for publishing a number of documents should be provided:

a letter headed referral signed by the Director of the organization or his deputy;
an opinion letter about the possibility to publish the paper (according to the recommendations of the Interdepartmental Commission for Protecting State Secrets, dated 30.10.2014 № 293, for the examination of the materials intended to be published);
an extract from the meeting minutes of the department, if any, with recommendation for publishing (extract sample);
some information about the author in the form of a questionnaire (author questionnaire sample).

The editorial board organizes reviewing of manuscripts. Copies of the reviews are available for the authors. A negative review is a reason for motivated refusal to publish the paper in the current issue.

Samara authors can have a free copy of the journal in the editors’ office. Non-resident authors, if they choose so, can be sent free copy by cash on delivery (paying only for shipping).
